Six Flags of Fun!

Be prepared...this is an extremely.long.post! :)

This past weekend we took our 'baby moon'
as they call it {or last trip before baby's arrival}
to Dallas!

My Mom drove down from Amarillo on
Thursday afternoon so we could get up early
Friday morning and head out!

Friday morning we were up bright and early and ready
to leave the house around 7:45! We piled in the ever-spacious
minivan and headed out! After a few stops along the way,
we pulled into Ft. Worth around 1 and headed to one of our
fav's In-N-Out! All I can say is YUM! We need one here in
the panhandle!

Next we piled back in the van and headed to our hotel
to check in! We were staying at the Hyatt Regency DFW
which was actually very ideally located for our fun little weekend!
The kids loved hanging out on the balcony watching the airplanes
take off and land!
{great free entertainment!}

After we checked in and got settled in our room and took
a quick rest we decided to head to Grapevine Mills. There
was a new Sea life Aquarium that recently opened there as
well as a new Legoland! Ritchie took the girls to both and
they had a super fun time!
{meanwhile, Mommy, Nana & Ethan
leisurely shopped thru the mall!}

After all the fun of Legoland & Aquarium
we met them at the Rainforest Cafe which
was conveniently inside Grapevine Mills!
The kids LOVED it! They loved the fun rainforest
atmosphere, as well as the cool animal shows that
played every 10 minutes or so! We sat right in front of the
elephants and they were all very surprised when they
started moving and making noises! Ethan was a bit afraid
at first, but then warmed up to them! By the time we left he
excitedly waved bye bye to them! We shopped around a bit
more then headed back to our hotel to crash!

We got up and ready Saturday morning ready to take
the girls to their 1st of 2 surprises for the weekend,
at the Galleria!

Off to the Galleria!

My handsome lil guy!

We parked by the Gap entrance to the Galleria,
dolls in hand, we headed to the AG store!

 My lil divas!
{and handsome fella}

We finally told them about their surprise
as we were walking up to the store...

LOVE the excitement of their sweet lil faces
{and Emma's mad dash to the store!}

So many fun things for your baby doll!

First stop, the Doll Hair Salon!

The girls got to look thru a catalog and pick a special
hairstyle for their dolls as well as matching ribbons!
{they were so cute picking their own special styles!}

Believe it or not, at 10:30 in the morning there was
already a 4 hr wait at the salon. So we dropped the girls
dolls off and came back later to pick them up!

Emma picking up her special Ashley doll!
{look how pretty her hair is!}

Abigail picking up her special Elizabeth doll!
{they did a great job on both of their dolls!}
wish I had a 'before' shot of their hair!

Proud Momma's showing off their styling dolls!

Next to the Salon was a Bistro that looked really fun!

Emma was in Heaven at the AG store!

After a fun day of shopping we headed back to the hotel for naps
then Mommy and Daddy got ready and got to go out to dinner
with our great friends Ashley & Jason!! We had a great time,
we went to a fabulous restaurant, Oddfellows, for dinner {YUM!}
followed by dessert at Tillmans Roadhouse
Dessert was especially fun because we got
the house specialty of 'S'mores' which we got to
roast ourselves at our cute little table which included
yummy homemade flavored marshmallows,
cinnamon, mint & citrus flavored!
It was SO fun!

A great evening spent with great friends!
We LOVE yall Ash & Jason!

And a special thanks to my Mom who babysat the
kiddos in the room! They ordered a yummy pizza &
watched Disney's new The Secret World of Arrietty!
They had a blast!

Sunday morning we got up and ready and headed to
grab an early lunch at another fav, Chuy's
before heading to the 2nd surprise,

Here are some pics from our fun day!
